I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, teacher, friend.
I love words and writing. The way words sound and look are just as important as how they are put together. Handwriting is important. Color is important. Font is important.
I am a Christian. I know that I am redeemed and possess eternal life because of the blood of Christ offered on my behalf to fulfill the law. God’s grace is also extended to you.
I am an American. The kind of American who feels very colonial when I pick up pecans in the fall, but grateful for electric ovens in which to bake pecan pies. I believe in the simplicity and purity that our forefathers intended when they set up a government that trusted its people to rule themselves. I grieve that Washington’s, Jefferson’s, Franklin’s America is fading. But I have hope, naive as it may seem, that America will not pass away.
I am a poet, a synesthete, a bibliophile.
My favorite books are the Bible and The Secret Garden.
I love to laugh.
What an awesome description of my dear friend. I have a deep love and appreciation for you. I hope you know that! And I LOVE the picture on the “header” of your blog. Absolutely beautiful. Makes me feel quiet. Pensive. Reflective. Prayerful. Still. What a perfect selection for your blog. : )
Sweet.
